Modern cyber terrorists are not as discriminating as they used to be. About half of all cyberattacks now end up with small businesses in the crosshairs.
1. A seriously compromised security staff
By 2022, more than 1.8 million cyber security positions will go unfilled. 57 percent of IT professionals unable to implement preferred strategies due to budget. 54 percent due to time. Many organisations have no designated cyber security officers at all.
2. A raging ransomware
WannaCry affected 300,000 computers in 150 countries in 2017. Global ransomware damage costs for 2017 estimated at over 5 billion dollars, 15 times higher than 2015. Always update your software.
3. Negligent employees
60 percent of security breaches are directly caused by employees. Whether phishing, malicious Wi-Fi, compromised programmes on personal devices, or failing to follow basic security standards. An informed workforce is a secure one.
